WW2 period tam made by Wm. Anderson & Sons Ltd, Edinburgh and fitted with a heavy cast officers pattern cap badge with tartan backing. Named on the label to Major J.L. Gaussen. Research shows that he was awarded the Military Cross, was wounded on the retreat to Dunkirk and later in Italy, and was also Mentioned in Dispatches in 1943 read more

37/40 pattern BD, dated 1942. To each sleeve embroidered shoulder titles for Royal Fusiliers, 56(London) Division, red arm of service and the dark red/dark blue flash for the 9th Battalion which served in North Africa and Italy. MkII Helmet, Royal Fusiliers
Early helmet, shell and liner both dated 1939, mid green overpainted with dark green and brown patches. To the left side a rectangular flash, dark red and dark blue divided diagonally for 9th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers. British Issue Binoculars, Prism, No2 MkII, 1939
Early WW2 binoculars, maker marked Kershaw & Son and dated 1939, complete with leather strap. Very good used condition overall but with a couple of small chips to the Bakelite eye pieces. Very clear optically but no graticules. read more
